Hey all!
So I am planning on upgrading to a better filter in my 36 gal tank. my question is how do i go abouts doing this?
how do i properly switch the filter without the bacteria dying?
can i just put the filter media in the new filter and switch them?
I was thinking that will probably work, just wanna make sure it wont make any ammonia or nitrites go up.
 thanks for any advise

Yes. In a word.

Worth keeping an eye out for mini cycles afterwards, but generally works well.

thanks for the reply.
i just wanna add another question in there lol
i have a 36 gal tank and the filter is a aqueon 30 quiet flow. I wanna get a better more filter capacity filter. Now what is a good filter i should get?
