Do My Fish Watch Tv?!

It might also be the only visible thing to them as when the lights are on in the tank and the room is dark they can mostly only see reflections of the inside of the tank. A TV in a dark room however may be bright enough so that the fish can see it.

Try an experiment. Dark room, fish light on, TV on. Dark room, fish light off, tv on. If they watch the TV as much when their light is off as they do when thier light is on then they should definately be paying the TV licence.

Not a photo of fish watching tv...
But our killifish. When he was first moved to the 10gal tank in the computer room. He liked looking out the window whenever the blinds were raised.
He's an extremely curious fish... love him!

you have to understand, they live there lives in a box, we are the ones that usually give them what ever entertainment they get. so a tv with its color lights and sound must be beyond exciting to them. mine are the same when i play games or work on my computer in my room. my brothers if i go downstairs to watch tv will line up to watch me watch tv. but then turn away when i got to look at them.
