or does it not matter with them. With Blue Rams and Bolivian Rams, they prefer pairs, but what about Keyholes? Do they mind being in a trio or more?

hi,
i love keyholes, they were the first cichlids i kept and along with the ram got me into cichlids. they are a very peaceful fish and imo do much better in pairs or trios. gives them more confidence being with their own kind

Yes, get 3 keyholes 2 male 2 females. (Male has long top and bottom fins stretched down to they end fin) i had 4 and one got left out so 3 would probably best but i rehomed mine as i am now with discus.

I can't decide whether to get two Bolivian Rams or three Keyholes for my 29 gallon tank along with two groups of shoaling fish.

Hi i am also interested in geeting some keyholes, i am guessig if you have 3,

1 male and 2 females would be a good mix,

any suggestions?

Cheers Gordon
