You must have put the wrong amount of test solution in one of the bottles. Re-try doing the lo pH. If is off the chart then try doing the high range pH.
By-the-way..... there should be a test for nitrate in there, what do you get for that? Have you already had your tank cycled?
Assuming that it is the high range ph reading that is correct - don't worry about it, it will be fine for most community fish. Just don't try to keep discus or rams, and maybe be careful before introducing neons as well.
yeah it totally depends what fish your keeping if the ph will be a problem. You don't always need to do a normal and high range ph test though..... just do the normal one, unless you get the highest or lowest reading then that's what it is. If you get the end readings then do a high/low range ph test and that's your result.
