Do I Still Need To Cycle It?

Getting a 5 gallon tank on Friday for a DP, my question is do I still need to cycle the tank even though I'll be filling it up from a 29gallon tank that's been running for atleast 8 months... I'll add water conditioner of course and bacteria supplement... but still do I need it cycled? If yes will 2 days be enough?
