Hi All,

Prior to installing pressurised co2 i put substrate tabs in my sand.

Now I actually have the co2 do i need to bother with the tabs??

90% of my plants are dwarf hairgrass and dwarf sag.

Thanks,

dave

CO2 and tabs are not related, I'd keep the tabs as it feeds the roots.

yes keep the tabs in and replace them now and then, with the co2 the plant will draw in the ferts a lot more and harness it much better :) you hsould see improved growth if not a much more healthy plant :)

Use both. Tabs will help but has nothing to do with co2

Look at it another if greatly simplified way, Co2 is the plants "air"  Plant tabs/ferts are "food"

With all the above said. Root tabs are not essential. Plants will take what they need from the water column itself providing all the keys elements are present in the water.
