on tuesday i bought my 54 litre (60x30x30) tank (woohoo!!!). It is currently on the stand but has no water in it, and this is my question, most people who have a juwel tank say that you dont need foam because it has a 'floating base' where the glass doesnt actually touch the stand (?) well, my tank isnt a juwel but the glass doesnt actually touch the stand since it has a plasticcy rim thing which spreads out under the tank so the actual glass base is suspended in the air. I hope you get what i'm saying, is this whats called a 'floating base' and does this mean i dont need foam?
