I have a 24 Uk gallon tank with an eheim aquaball 2210 internal filter, will this oxygenate the water enough on its own or will i need some sort of pump or airstone??

Thanks

What fish do u have. If the fish are going to the surface gasping for air then u need another thing to give air.

I havent got any yet as i'm in the process of setting up and then going to do a fishless cycle. if one was needed i was going to buy one and install it before the fish but i wasn't sure if it was neccesary -_-

Most tanks do not need supplementary air unless massively overstocked, or a chemical (medication) is binding to the dissolved oxygen.

If you are really worried, try and aim the filter outlet towards the surface, or place it just under the surface, so that the filter agitats the surface. This will provide far more oxygen in the water than an air stone.

Ok thanks i'll try that and see how the fish do. i'm not planning on being overstocked so hopefully that will be enough. then again i wanted some platys and after reading about how much they breed i might not have much choice in the number of stock :S

A while after I had my tank all set up, I had quite a few probs, the guy in my lfs said that I should have a pump and airstone, and the fish seemed toa ppreciate it. He seemed surprised that I didn't have one already, (I thiught that everything I needed came with the tank - juwel 120)
