Do I need a Co2 unit?

I have a 22 US gallon tank and I think I was told that I didn't really need CO2 unless I had more than 2 watts per gallon.

So given that you've got little over 1 watt per gallon, I'd say no. But you might want to wait for an answer from the experts.

You definately don't need CO2 at this point. For that sized tank, you might want to consider CO2 when you hit around 3 watts per gallon, but I don't think that rule applies to smaller tanks.

i have just over 2 wpg - i dont use CO2 but anything higher than this then i definalty would.

In small tank though you can get away with more light and no CO2 than larger ones
.

Thanks for the info guys.

:)

Saves me a couple buck slol.
