right,

dont know if any of you have read my new journal, but this morning i woke up to 3 out of four rainbowfish missing.

checked everywhere, then realised, filter.

i opened the filter but obviously it had started draining and i looked in to see one rainbowfish in the intake hole thing, i pulled him out but all his front half is now grey instead of bright blue.

One of his front fins is a bit messed up, but his head/eyes etc seems to be okay, and he is swimming round okay. Not as good as before but better than i expected.

Do i euthanise or do i wait and see?
I cant afford melafix till friday or any other remedy other than stress coat.

I have a 60 litre spare until it sells but no filter, what do i do? :(

Wait and see. Keep the water clean. You said he's swimming ok. Fish can make some great and seemingly miraculous recoveries sometimes. Might he best to isolate if you can. I say give him a chance.
could yoy post a pic of his injuries?
cheers

Floating belly up. :(

Cant get a clear enough picture on my blackberry and ive no idea where my camera lead is. it looks like someones just rubbed him out on the front half.

Didn't realize from the first post he was so bad off. You mentioned swimming normally. Use your best judgement. Sorry to hear it.
cheers

He was fine when i first posted, and now gone belly up :/

Dont kow what my best judgement is atm, i know its my fault aswell.

Edit: never mind.

Also, Melafix is not a medication. If you really want to prevent fungus, do use a real medication, not tea tree oil.

Its just what ive always used, i know it probably doesnt work, just what im used to/
