Do Guppys Need Guppy Tank Mates.

Hi fish keepers. Do male fancy guppy's need to be kept as a pair or more? I know they are not like tetras,barbs or danios but I just wondered as I have heard that in the wild they shoal in groups of millions. Thanks in advance.

I think you're meant to keep them in groups of at least 6 so thay dont get lonely and thay sometimes fight in smaller groups,

Guppy males are fine in small groups. Unlike the schooling tetras and cories, guppies really don't socialize much. They do sometimes display to each other to try to establish dominance and of course they display plenty when there are females present.
