Do Goldfish Need Company?

They're not shoaling fish, they're fine together as long as you don't get commons and fancies in the same tank due to food competition.

Yeah i have 3 goldfish together in a tank, and will be adding a fourth soon. I have found my goldfish to like to interact with me and anyone else who comes up to their tank.

i have three right now, i got two yesterday and one today, and two of them actually seem to enjoy each others company. they are very small right now so i have them in a 6 gallon but i will move them to a bigger tank when they get bigger. right now this is very spacious for them. its too bad they dont stay small i think they are so cute right now.

I certainly hope you do get a bigger tank.. A goldfish, in general (Depends on if it's fancy or regular, but still) Should have atleast 20 gallons to itself and then 10 gallons for every goldie thereafter.. so you'll need a 40 -50 gallon tank soon!
