My lovely beta has a chunk of tail missing (I didn't realise when I bought him) and one of my pretty guppies had a barb take a chunk of tail (barbs now back at LFS). I've treated both with silver proteinate.
Will the tails grow back?

guppies cannot live with betta. maybe try stress coat

edit: oops

Hi - should have said the Betta and guppies are in different tanks! Already use stress coat - fish seem to thrive with it. Will the fins grow back, though?

Yes, in healthy condition and a clean environment, it takes about a month. Ensure they have a high quality and varied diet too.

My Betta has a better diet than I do! Thanks for the reassurance - I look forward to seeing him in all his glory!
