Sorry can't find a loach section on the site
Because they are so small they would probably have trouble taking out a big snail. But they should eat snail eggs and new hatched ones, and help control them that way.

heard that also so tried it,,,with lettuce in a jar and put it in tank over night, only had one snail in there![]()
if i do it manually i could easily pick well into 300 snails out the gravel,,a monthly chore![]()
Gawdhaha once you have got them thats it,,mine came with a plant i brought 4years ago,,,and theyve been about ever since, even got in my large tank when i put bogwood from old to new tank after scraping it clean![]()
ive had a clown loaches for over a year in old tank and they are still there
My chain loaches are murder on snails. I add pest snails from another tank and they don't last 2 minutes. I have 5 chain loaches in a 29 gallon tank. The only problem is that they do not seem to get along with my cories. They constantly pester them. It seems to be getting worse instead of better. I only have three cories left I will not buy them again. That is for another topic.![]()
