Do Cherry Barbs Have Barbels?

My male cherry barb has barbels and I wanted to know if this is normal..... The female doesn't look like she has any...

Might be wrong but i would of thought both sexes do

It is normal; it's how the barb family got it's name. The female will have them too, but they'll be very pale, so you might not see them, plus the fish can fold them back against their jaws.

Ok good I thought I had some mutant Cory cherry hybrid somehow lol.
Oh now it makes sense BARBel makes BARB family! Lol.
