HI guys!

I managed to get myself a big 8-10kg bottle. My mate is in the welding trade and can make me pretty much anything i want, tapped or drilled. He has already made me my regulator and pin valve which i will post in the next few days.

Bascially my question is this. I can`t find anywhere that will fill my 500g JBL bottle without me spending £10+ on fuel, nor can i be bothered refilling it every 3 months when i can just attach my big bottle and let it run for over a year. The only thing my JBL has got, which is very important with my nano tank, is the size!! Its tiny so can fit under my desk!

My plan was this: if i got a VERY simple pipe/tubing threaded at both end to fit tight to one end my jbl and the other my big bottle and opened them both up would they not equalibriate some where in the middle! Yes they are both 250bar BUT the big bottle is larger and therefore will hold its pressure for longer and infact should fill my 500g bottle much higher than half full for a good few fills (until my big bottles begins to lose pressure!)

I am confident neither has a one way valve!

So any problems you can foresee?

Chris

I would not reccommend trying it to be honest. Pressurized gas bottles IMO are just better left with the people that know what their doing, you could end up with a gas bottle between your ears or something. Not worth the risk, just my opinion though of course.

Interesting! We have already thought about this and the two bottle would be clamped at my mate garage (in like an engine clamp thing !! )

any more opinions!

Chris
