I got this great deal on 2 PC bulbs 55watts each and one blue actinic. Do i need a ballast to run this? and does any one know where i can get a housing for this? Just wanted to know what to do after i have the bulbs on a DIY project.

Consider above everything else the IP rating of such things. You know, the watery-proof-ness.....

I think it may be a lot easier & safer just to get kit that is designed for aquatics...

Dunno really, perhaps someone out there has done this already.

Yes, you'll need a ballast, reflectors, and endcaps if you dont have them allready... Hellolights or AH Supply.

Those are either 9, 13, or 18 watt power compacts. Toug to say from those pics

oh lol sorry, they are 9watts, you can kind of see it on the box, but i wasint exspecting you to notice that anyways!

Also i wanted to put two, one on either side of my lights. So 18w ballast??

Actually these little mini lights do not take kindly to running in parallel off the same ballast. Better to use two 9 watt ballasts ;)

sounds good. what kind of ballast do i need? ive seen a ballast that conects directly to the bulb? where can i find reflectors that big too?

nice. but it comes with a bulb no matter what? i wanna get that but with no bulb. Or is the actinic one the offer there the same as the one i had a picture of?
