Where will the stand be? in your living room? if so the only differince between the breeding tanks stand and the one in the living room is the look? if your happy with the way it looks its great..

My only concern would be that by eliminating the bottom layer of tank supports it would be a little less stable. If you could tie in the cinder blocks to the existing tank stand beneath it in some way that would help. If you did just the back 2 legs you should be able to conceal it pretty easy. I've found that the pressure treated 2x4's are much straighter & higher quality than regular construction grade, They're a bit more expensive, but it's worth it.

You could paint the blocks & wooden framework to match the stand beneath it. That would give it less of an industrial look.

Sorry, about that pic... and it isnt mine..i ound it on one of the DIY posts, I just changed it. I did it in 5 secs on photo shop/ The stand is gonna be in a corner of my room and how it looks dosent matter as much as it's stablibilty. The 55 GL stand will be put unerneath the 4 bricks and borad on top...will this work?
