Hi there....

I have a 29 gal. breeding tank with cons. and i want to make a divider for it as my male con becomes very agressive towards the female every time they spawn....I've been putting her in a breeding net in my 65. but i dont like stressing her and such...the less i handle them the better they are i think..I was going to make it out of plastic but i wasn;t sure if the plastic was safe.....So basically im looking for some ideas....tom. im going to be checking if i can but a piece of glass...would that work?

Ideas would be greatly appreciated by me and my female con :p [/FONT]

Egg crate works great as a cheap tank divider. Look in the lighting section of your local home improvment store. A 2'x4' sheet costs me $10, and it works as a divider, top to keep jumpers in, and other home made things. Cuts pretty easily with a sturdy pair of sissors.

For a touch less you can go down to your local petco and pickup a divider.

For $10 you get 4 dividers for a 29 or 55 gallon, 6 for a 20 tall, 8 for a 20 long. Or a divider, a top, & some scraps to build filters, bottom wipers, or whatever you can think of. I probably think too much.
