Hi i want to use these two items for diy co2 for my tank will it work? 600g bottle will last ages and the regulator is for disposable bottels all i would need to do is connect my hagen buble ladder to it :good: works out cheap! £12 for the bottle and £20 for the regulator with free delivery off a welding site!

The gas bottle is fine (I use these), but the regulator (I believe) will not have the fine adjustment required - there is no needle valve. I daresay you could use it, but the general opinion on here is that welding regs are not up to the job.

Have you got a B&Q store near you???? They sell the exact same regulators that deltec use on their co2 kits for £14 I bought one when I broke mine by mistake, all you have to do is buy the gauges.

Heres the b&q regulator on ebay for sale so you know what your looking for, its made by sip who also supply the co2 bottles that deltec use with their kits.

Get a solinoid valve aswell to switch the co2 of at night otherwise the bottle wont last long.

A for the 600g bottle only lasts me a month on my 200 litre tank at 1 bubble per second and its only on for 10 hours a day until I switch it off.

I would just go to WeldUK and buy the already 'gauged up' disposable bottle version (second item down)
WeldUK

Then buy a needle valve (and solenoid if needed) from aquarianversand on ebay.

Bottles are cheap here (3 for £30)

The bottle will last just as long with or without the solenoid. running 24/7 means that you reduce the bps to keep the levels more consistent (and your ph etc don't go up and down each day)

1 bottle last me on my 125Ltr for 3-4 months on 24/7 to maintain 30ppm so I think there may be a problem with your diffusion or circulation if 1 bottle lasts you a month

I cant find aquarianversand on ebay.

and im unable to find a needle valve online were does it connect? aquarium co2 is well overpriced who they trying to kid!

On that B&Q unit you would unscrew the outlet with the hose tail and screw the needle valve in there.

I assume the same on the WeldUK one. With the disposable one I unscrewed the outlet and the needle valve screwed straight in.

I suppose you could play it safe and get an inline one like most of the US seems to use?
