DIY deviders

Hey

i was gonna post this in the DIY forum but i thought i would start off here first...

i was just wondering what do you guys use to make deviders for your tanks?

i have 5 gal hex with one female plakat and ive seen some preety nice Bettas around and wanted to make a divide so i didnt have to buy another tank and i havent been able to find any for sale so i wanted to make my own B)

I have a hexagonal tank thats just doing nothing so tonight i am going to transform it into a 2 betta tank. (well thats the plan)


Went out at lunch and brought some Plastic (a bit like perspex) from my DIY shop it's called off clear and you can't see through it (so bettas wont get umpy at each other ) and some other bits and bobs to make it a cool home for them.

I can post some pics after i have done it if you want to see how mine comes out. I'm going to go straight down the middle.


How was you thinking of doing yours?? I can't decide whether to put a filter in it this time round and if i do the plastic is going to need holes, My last betta hated the filter so i got rid of it and did more water changes, but this is going to be a b***h to clean out.

I used something similar to plexiglass but is more flexible. It's usually found at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. The big wharehouse DIY places but it's not cheap to buy as they only sell them in large sheets I'm told. I used left over sheets from my girlfriend's father to make mine so I don't know the exact dimensions or costs.

it would be awsome if you could posts info on how you did it becauase im pretty &*&^ on DIY stuff

I'm not sure where you guys live..but Ebay has some great deals on Plexiglass right now. All kinds of colors.
