Sorry to keep harping on about CO2, but its definately the way of the future ;)

I will hopefully be getting a 120L Juwel Rekord soon, and I after reading George's post about a low light/tech tank I'm inspired to give it a go. My issue is I can't afford a CO2 system :(

My question is, how many DIY CO2 2ltre bottles would it take to get enough CO2 into this size tank? Obviously there are several factors to consider such as diffuser and planting volumes, but generally, how many would you expect to need?

Thanks in advance :)

Steve.

I have a Rio125 and use 1 nutrafin and one 1litre bottle (2 litre doesn't fit in my stand) each with 1/2 teaspoon yeast.

And to be honest, I have to break the surface of the water with the filter output or I get too much Co2 and my drop checker goes yellow

My ladder is well hidden at the back of the tank. So I haven't bothered with a diffusor yet, apparently the ladders are very effective
