Diy Co2 Problem.

Just set up a 5 litre diy co2 bottle with the co2 injected into my Juwel standard H powerhead. Only set up 2/3 hrs ago, but theres no bubbles, then all of a sudden......BUBBLES........then none for 5-10 mins........then BUBBLES............then none ...........etc

When there are bubbles its 3-4 seconds high pressure bubbles, lots of em.

Theres no real steady flow, just intermittent.

When i put the injector into the outlet of the filter it drew the co2 at a steady rate, but thats not effective iv been told.

Any ideas. could thepe be water in the pipe where it goes underwater and into the porwehead?

any ideas?

Are you using a check valve?

to stop water flowing back up the airline? no. The co2 setup is above so no chance of backfill. why?

A checkvalve stops backflow but also makes it harder for air to go through too. The co2 mixture has to build up more pressure to momentarily burst through with a check valve.
