ok, I know I need the plastic spine runners and plastic mesh.

on ebay I can find the mesh at a whopping 57.5cm x 34.5cm, but its still too small

mesh

I am finding it near on impossible to find any that would fit my tank as i need 46cm x 41cm (18" x 16")

what am i to do?

I have now thought i can add 2 runners to each divider (so i will have enough for the height of the divider)

its just the divider itself I have issues with.....

any ideas where i can get extra large from??

You can stick 2 meshes together. Either by siliconing the ends or by latching them with cable ties, then cut accordingly. :)

Yes, unfortunately it will cost more, but im pretty sure it wont look ugly. You can try to get the Penn-Plax ones from the LFS, they will probarly work out the same price. :)

Can you get any cheap plexi glass?? then drill some holes in it?? i had that in my 20x30 (DxH) tank, couldnt really see it as it was clear, and did the job :D

Yeh, but with that idea, the bettas will be more likely to become stressed when constantly flaring, unless you get some moss to grow on it.

^no offence, just my opinion :good:

i was just thinking the same, it wouldnt be fair on the little guys really.

am gonna have a look in hobby craft tomorrow, if not get these off ebay. i may take a look in the LFS too, but they dont tend to do things like this, so may not get it (ebay would be better for me as i have money in paypal)

Have you tried the large clip it picture holders from asda as the biggest ones are a clear plastic fronted,(and cheap £2.50) I siliconed that in to my old tank after cutting to size and getting my dad to drill a section of small holes, before fitting it i just took a peice of 'wet n dry' sandpaper to it (from halfords, but most diy places should have it) so it misted out so they couldnt see each other

hey Haych, if you are in the US you can go to michaels and if you go to the knitting/crochey (sp?) department they have plastic mesh sheets of a fairly large size - and for only $.39!!! ecen if you have to get two...it would be cost effective!

i will bear that in mind, thank you (just have to find tools  )
