Can you please be more specific ... black lines ? is it like a worm type parasite hanging out of it or black lines in the fish it's self ?

you got any pic's

give me as much detail as possible please .

Dan.

Sure it not normal for them to have there stripes, need to look at your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, black patches can be ammonia burns that are now healing.

black patches - not worms or visible parasites - i thought it might have been normal but my cory got it like yesterday and he cant stop scratching himself off of pots etc.

sorry i cant get any pics on - im fairly sure its inside the fish - its very visible

Need to look at your stats then, a they can flick and rub in bad water quality.

did a water change on sunday - it looks fine nitrates are at 0 and nitrites are at 20. not sure bout ph and ammonia is very low - my tets have had it 4 a while ( i think it was there @ the lfs) and nothin happened but now my corys got it too

also the corys not doin it every now and then but constantly - the tetras never scratch tho

also do ammonia burns itch and do they go away

Have you got the nitrates and nitrites mixed up, if you do have a nitrite that explains it bad water quality, and you need to do another water change, how long has the tank been set up.

sorry i did mix them up. the tanks been set up since september this year

Well i don't know if you have mixed them up, its a rekord 60 isn't it, can we take a look at your full fish stock in that tank.

Right, i would test your nitrite again, also corys should not be kept in no less than a 3 group, and tetra's no less than a group of six, and i think the glass fish shouldn't be on it's own either.

i know i know - i was one of those people who bought fish without any prior infomation. i was the guy who said " thats pretty - ill have that one" . ive learnt the error of my ways -as for the glasscats i had 4 and this is the survivor........sorryfishgod!

Need your nitrite result.

Ok that fine, you got them mixed up last time, i would buy your own test kits then you know for yourself.
So they are definately black patches on the fish.

Right look under black patches.
