my fish are fine thank you wilder.i cut back some of my plant and gave it to one of our daughters for her aquarium,i also cleaned my filter today.i like to keep on top of any work than needs doing may i ask for how long you have been keeping fish?.regards den.

I haven't kept fish for nearly 2 years now. But when I did keep fish it was for about 8 years.

.. ...not to worry....you still have a very good knowledge of fish and fish alements..treating sick fish has moved on quite a lot from when i started the hobby..there was not much at the disposal of the fish keeper,you could give it household salt to bath in for a short time.but today theres plenty of treatments.

I forgotten quite alot since not being around for one half years.
It's beginning to come back slowly.
There plenty of medications now. But most of the bacterial medications are only good for mild bacteria infections.

yes its easy to forget, more so if you move away from the hobby for a while,but im sure it will all come back to you quite soon.yes with some infections its better to distory the fish and buy another one..more often than not the fish will die anyway,and its not nice seeing a sick fish being bullied by others..
