would i be able to keep 2 discus in my juwel rio 125 that contains:

3 cory cats
1 rubbernose plec
1 albino rainbow shark (totally non aggressive)
8 cardinal tetras
5 rummynose tetras
5 harlequin rasboras

please give your views

In a word, no The tank is too small, and unless it is a proven breeding pair (that would possibly kill the tank mates when they geared up for breeding) two Discus fish would likely both die, either through stress or murder followed by stress. For a minimum tank size, you want 50G (about the size of a Juwel Rio 260 after decorating) and a minimum discus group size of 5

is the tank overstocked or anything? i really would like a centrepiece fish (or a pair) and i thought discus would be nice but obviously not. I wont get any.

Depends what you are after, german rams looks nice and friendly , i've got gold rams that are same shape but differnt colour and they get on with everything, don't grow to big either.

Pearl Gouramis are a nice centerpiece fish, getting to about 6" adult length. Pretty colours. there are some other larger gouramis too, but most of the larger once are describeds as semi-agressive With a pair of centerpiece fish, the tank will be fully stocked, unless you want to start pushing things
