Hi i just a question hoping someone out there may be able to help. From having a conversation with a local breeder he told me how he treats his discus for worms on a monthly basis. So this morning i went down to my local fish store for this treatment and was told there was none on the market. So my question is does anyone else do this and if so where can i get this treamtment from.

I treat for them about every four months or when ever I have added any new fish to the tank.

Have a look online, you can usually find either wormer plus or flubenol for sale or try one of the forum sponsors.

Other than that, I dont treat mine with anything - no need to

If you buy any wild caught discus, I would put money on them having worms and I would never add any, wild or from a LFS to an existing tank without worming them first.

I have had rams and discus with internal worms and also I had a shoal of kerri tetras that looked a little dubious, i ended up putting them all down as they had camalanus worms and I didnt have any meds for this at the time

I personally wouldn't bother until you experience problems, unless you buy wild fish.

I would say, if you get your discus from a breeder and he has wormed the fish then no need.

If buying from the LFS and staff are not sure if they have been wormed, then I would worm them with Wormer Plus, just to be on the safe side
