Discus Tank

im going to be getting a 200 ltr tank and was going to get some discus to go in when it was all ready, i live in england in sheffield and the water is quite soft and realy clean. I was wondering if i would need to filter the water with an ro unit?

Your tank is not suitable for a Discus setup i'm affraid. I would suggest 300+ litres and at least 4ft if not 5. And yes, Discus would very much appreciate the use of RO water, but no need to filter it through it, just use the RO water when water changing.

agreed the tank is a little on the small side , slightly bigger would be better 55g upwards with 75g being ideal imo . as for the ro water in 99% of cases unless breeding its not required . especially if your water is quite soft already
