Having bit of issue with this discus.. Haven't seen him eating for three weeks now. He is aggressive towards another same colour discus in the main tank.

He is in hospital tank now with anti internal Bactria med at the moment.
Still Not eating and white poo ( empty stomach?) . Seems to attack almond leaves now and then.. Still looking good and not really loose any weight..

Any input would be helpfull guys..

Ps.. He may be she..

Hum that's a hard one it might be sick whith a stomach virus you can take some pics of it and I might be able to tell you more

Thanks mate, I'll take some photos tomorrow as hospital tank has no lights.
I too assuming this is usual stress related issue.

A bit more information will be needed actually before anyone can diagnose anything or advise.

Tank size and dimensions?
Water parameters? ph, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate
Water temp?

Any new additions to the tank? decor, stocking, plants, gravel etc

Symptoms? gasping, lethargy, at water surface, staying in one area of tank most of time

The more information you can give the better, no such thing as too much information.

Some pics as snork6 mentions may help as well.

Maybe gill flukes.. Some Symptoms matches.. Med I put has formalin in it. So it should do ther trick. But just find out its outdated year ago.. ( but it should work )

is he/she bloating?
are the scales sticking out?
loss of colour?
if you want to see him./her eat then put live food in... ex. mosquito larva will do the trick. always does with mine if it ever happens.

what are the stats of the tank,
did you cycle it
if so what cycle did you do etc etc.

if it is internal you really can't take a picture of what is happening inside unless there is huge affect on the outside like the overall health of the fish is deteriorating.
do you have other males/female in the tank? did they pair up?

put more information please.

Tank size and dimensions? 6x2x2
Water parameters? Ph 6.4 .. TDS 150+ Not sure about the rest as I don't have test kit
Water temp? 28c

Any new additions to the tank? . Some wild caught altums month ago. But I would rule out that root.

Symptoms? staying in one area of tank most of time.

It's almost certainly Hexamitiasis.

You need to treat it with Metronidazole. 250mg/10 gallons of water. Also raise the water temp to 31-32C. 50% water change each day, adding water with the medication added. Treat for 7-10 days.

Hope that helps.

No visible signs apart from staying at one aria white poo and not eating ..

Thanks for tip about live food.. I'll try first think in the morning..

Tank is ok.. I never used any cycles. It's fake marketing.

Sound like DTD has given a decent diagnoses.

A bit more details on Hexamitiasis for you to digest.

I'd recommend you follow these instructions from DTD and keep the tank water in pristine condition, this will help as well.
Nice one.. I think this is it.. Thanks mate

Yup, it does sound like it.
Metro is very good at treating this.
I followed a slightly different program when I used this treatment. Apparently it is active for 48 hours. So I left for 2 days before doing a w c. and redosing,
