Hello,

I have had 4 discus for about 6 months. I change 40% of the water 5 times a week in a 60 gallon tank. I feed them a special beef heart mix, blood worms, and brine shrimp. The problem is that one of the discus is only half the size of the others. The other 3 discus constantly pick on the small one. I spread out the food so each can eat in their own area but as soon as one of the 3 sees the other one eat they attack him. Can I move the small discus into a tank by himself? Or is their anyway to get the others to leave him alone?

Thanks

Yes, you should move the discus into it's own quarantine tank. Feed him extra good food to make him grow faster so that he can be put back in with his buddies.

Thank you for the information. After my post I cut a piece of acrylic and made a divider for the tank. I moved the one discus over and he seems ok. He keeps swimming up and down the divider trying to get to the other discus. Do you think he will calm down sometime? I put some brine shrimp in and he did eat. The other discus try and attack him and now they can't. Will this be ok or would a seperate tank be better.

Thanks
