Disaster

You know, I had a similar situation as this about a month ago. My Doubletail HM Butterfly jumped the barrier into my Crowntails side of the 10g. Took a good beating. I am really surprised that your little guy is acting so normal. Mine DTHM was depressed for a week, and the Crowntail stressed himself to Ich. It is good to see that you have such a little trooper.

I think the 14gal he lives in may have something to do with how perky he is. Living in a mansion would certainly take the edge off of being beaten up for me  In all honesty, I think it's just keeping him company that's helped. He's a very friendly little guy and he loves human company so I check up on him every hour and spend some time just chatting to him and he chats back (obviously can't hear anything but the occasional click!). Such a sweetie

LOL I am glad he's doing well!
My black male had his disposition destroyed after a night in a 30gal long... He much prefers his 1gal cube, I guess he has a hermit disposition. He was aggressive for a week, but I think his little "got loose with mollies and Zebra danios" traumatized him... They all ignored him, but he has been a shy guy ever since 2 nights in "the big world"

I'm glad yours likes wide open spaces! I'm thinking of attempting a sorority with the female fry I've got... That should be interesting.

How does he like the floating log?

It hasn't arrived yet. I had to order it online since no shop in the UK seems to sell them. Should be here by tomorrow! I uprooted one of my amazon sword daughter plants and he's resting in the leaves of that at night for now.
His fins are growing back beautifully already and he isn't sitting on the bottom at all anymore. Such a relief! I couldn't be happier with his recovery so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way! I'll get some new photos of him up later on :)

Ebay! I'll let you know if this seller is any good but they seem to have good reviews :)

Here's my little trooper this evening. You can clearly see his new growth already. No treatment needed :)

...and upon uploading this photo I can really see the extent of my planeria infestation. Lovely

Glad he's doing better!

My loaches keep those under control... I had quite the problem with them til I added the loaches

I cut back on feedings (small amounts every 2-3 days) and did daily water changes(20-40%) and gravel vacs for a week. It got rid of them pretty quick. Freaked me out when I saw them. I thought I had a bad parasite problem.

I don't actually see any planeria in the tank today... how odd. Anyway, his log arrived! He wasn't sure at first so I had to put my face at the end of the tunnel and he soon went into it like a prospective house buyer, checking out the walls and the wood flooring. When he saw the skylight, he was sold
