Disaster 2..

Well after my swimming pool in my bedroom incident...during the night my filter started making very loud grinding and loud buzzing noises.
so 9am this morning i had to buy a new filter...sure they think im mad in that shop.

could this be why tank 2's results have gone downhill?? i notice the circulation alot better in this new one.

i didnt sleep a wink thinking of all the bacteria dying Besides the awful racket it was making!
and yes Tizer...if i dont laugh.....i'd cry. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Bacteria only die at a rate of 12% every 24 hours, so as long as it was still wet you shouldn't have lost much at all.

I know what you mean about the worrying though. If I get a 0 or close to 0 on ammonia in the morning, I worry they're gonna die off before I redose in the evening, even though I know it's silly.

another one of the same..All be it the newer version. Aqua International 200 with spray bar..this one is silent!! i will enjoy my sleep tonight.
Did a full 100% water change and changed back to full sand substrate on said tank Last night and 100% change on Tank 1 today also changing back to sand substrate.
I hope this is all worth the effort and money.....i really do!
