Difficult Whitespot Scenario

OK, so in my new livebearer tank i've got 3 guppies + 1 CAE - it's very very close to being cycled - however, one of my guppies now has white spot so to treat it I need to remove carbon from filter.

Will the cycle complete all the time there's no carbon in the filer???

You dont really need the carbon at all, so the cycle wont be affected if you take it out, though the meds you use might.
