Different Discus In Same Tank

Is it possible to keep different types of discus within the same tank?
I'm soon getting a 120gl tank and was thinking of maybe a shoal of 8 or so discus and was wandering if they all have to be the same colour or could I get a variety.

It is fine. Whether one discus is blue or another is red, they are all Symphysodon discus. The color varients is caused to due extensive breeding programs, similar to bettas. In the wild you would not find the colors of Discus as you see in shops. The are all the same fish species, just different colors.
