No Walmarts around my part of the world, but I must admit it was a direct result of diving into Pets@home to shelter from the rain.
The local Pets@home is a very mixed place, hard to judge: they have 2 very knowlegeable staff, the rest know nothing about fish; the tanks do carry labels about the adult size of fish- but they sell these wretched tiny goldfish biorbs and tiny coldwater kits (their own goldfish have a good-sized tank); they have a vet come in once a week (I am told), but dead fish are frequently left in the tank. They do not stock tiny betta bowls. All in all, a very mixed bunch.
