Did Not Cycle Befor Moving In Fish: Dechlorinating?

Fish seem very happy in new home, and they look great! Problem is I did not cycle prior to moving them into thier new home. I want to change out some of thier water and try to keep them healthey and happy. How do I dechlorinate water? Does boiling do the trick? Sun light? Dechlorinateing tablets?

Also want to start adding live plants Can I do a combo of Live/plastic and which ones would you recommend? what about sand/ rock for optimal growth, any recommendation there? I have hard water with fairly high salt content where I live?

How do I dechlorinate water?

Buy a commercial dechlorinator for you local fish shop. They will all sell it. A small bottle does may gallons of water.

As you are cyclining with fish you are going to have your work cut out with water changes. When you go to the pet shop to buy you self some dechlorinator get a set of liquid test kits for nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia. Dont bother with the paper strips. You will need it to test you water and know when to do water changes.

I dearly could you take the fish back to the store while you get some ammonia and cycle you tank. Its better for the fish that way.

What's you stocking and tank volume as well?
