Did I Buy A Pregnant Platy?

So my roommate and I set up a 10 gallon tank last month (I know it's small but its the largest we're allowed to have in our living agreements) and now have a platy and two guppies, along with a snail. I noticed over the past week that my platy was pooping a lot and gaining a little weight. I bought a "male" platy but after a little research I discovered I was given a female from Petsmart. I can't see a very distinct gravid spot, but based on the angle her side does definitely get darker. If it really was a female in a male tank then it sounds like she definitely would be- can anyone verify this for me and maybe tell me how far along she looks if she really is pregnant?

plattys can store sperm for up to 6 months so most likely yes if she was at the fish store with other plattys (males)

Yes.... that picture is of a pregnant female Platy...... Chances for Livebearers to be pregnant at any time is about 99% (if they had been in contact with any male during the preceeding 6 months as stated in above post)....

Can you guess about how far along she is? I read that gestation can last between 3-5 weeks but I have no idea how long she's been pregnant. I don't even have a breeding tank/net yet and Im worried she'll pop while I'm out one day.

she might well do... but shes likely to do it again. about 30 days after at a guess id say she's about a week off (mines poped twice) what i know off probaly more tbh but i dont really look at her fatness so its just a guess
