Did anybody see the show on the Discovery channel called "Amazon Abyss" on Saturday? it showed a lot of aquarium fish, in the dirty amazon! There was a talking catfish, a severum, a black ghose knifefish, and plenty of others! I didn't see the whole show, did anyone see the whole show? It was a very good show.

Maybe, like I said, I didn't see the whole thing, but their main objective was to go to the bottom of the Amazon. Where they found SPONGES!

Oooo me me! I saw it, it was incredible. There were all sorts of cichlids, what looked to be flagfins, a few plecos, a bunch of armoured catfish and even an electric eel. What was really interesting, they were saying was seeing all sorts of marine like creatures in fresh water. Puffers, sponges, stingrays, needlefish. Awwww it was so great. I was naming all the fish, like oh those are neon tetras, that's a pleco, a black ghost knife. My family thought I was crazy. :D

i saw it half a year ago i was so disapointed because i missed half of the series so good to see them in the wild and just thinking the posibbilities are endless :good:

I watched it too, gave me some ideas about what to do with my new tank. I like the natural look for my tanks and attempt to get as close as I can to the fishes native environment.

I saw it, it was great, pretty cool because I was able the name of the fish.....they showed some really nice fish....(they showed a black gohst that was over 3ft long....HUGE)

Apparently it was a BBC series first. I missed the first 10 minutes of it the other night but saw the rest of it. As soon as I can find it on DVD, I'm getting it. The overall quality of the footage is the best I've seen yet in a freshwater environment.
