Im about 2nhalf weeks into my cycle and now im gettin an outbreak of diatoms I know this is normal with a cycle but will cutting back on my plant doseing make a diffrence?

Im currently doseing a day:

2.5ml Easycarbo

Any tips guys?

My water stats atm:
Ammonia 0.25ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 40ppm
Ph 7.6

Cheers guys!

No, dont cut back.
Just stop dosing ammonia (if you are).
Increase the amount of plants and possibly water change to bring the ammonia down.

diatoms are common in newly set up tanks...they like the silica leached from the sealant...it will go away given time...just scrape it off during water changes if you dont like it.
