I am afraid that my diamond goby is going to starve. I try to bury frozen mysis under the sand everyday and I have seen him find it and eat mouthfuls of food, but he still looks a little thin.

He will eat freeze dried brine when i feed the other fish, but only very little at a time, because the other fish eat it.

Do you think he will eat sinking pellets that find their way to the sandbed? Or is there some way to get food to sink?

OR do i have to bury frozen food in the sand everyday?

I have read that they will eat anything we put in there. Have you considered intestinal parasites since he's eating?

that exists?

He doesn't look sickly or anything, i just always see him sifting sand like he's looking for food, but maybe that's just what they do!

A google would tell you that's what they do :)

If he stays thin even though he's eating, maybe consider intestinal parasites?.

ok, thanks kj, i will keep an eye on him.

He does eat pretty much anything i put in there besides algae flakes. Recently i have seen him perching on rocks and eating pods etc on them. Maybe cuz my sandbed isn't as mature as he needs.

I feed the fish 3 times a day, and i see him getting food everytime, so i assume he's ok
