Diagnosis Needed On Sick Fish

the two sick fish are a cherry barb and apisto, both males. they are currently being treated in a 5 gal tank with airstone and heater for bacterial infection.

the barb has a white nick on his right side, and the apisto has orangey stuff on the base of his right fin.

i've used maracyn two and maracyn plus (the latter for 9 days now), with no effect. anyone have any idea what it is?

Give the meds a few more days it can sometimes take longer to treat than it says in instructions.
