Saprolegnia? Costia Necatrix? Flexibacter columnaris? Its got me beat, I dont think it is Flexibacter.
Tank treated for finrot (30% water change and Myaxin everyday day for 5 days) end of december.
All started in november with introduction of crowntail femail. I think she was infected with a parasite, wouldnt eat and died after a week. Since then lost 2 more femails.
This femail is behaving normaly and eating well, there is one other who may be affected ( subject of" bettas lips falling off", they are better now. Thanks for all the advice).
Water stats consistent, weekly water change of 35%.
P.H 7.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5.0
Planted tank Java Ferns Anubias etc bog wood and rocks
Anyone have any ideas?

The betta whos lips were falling off appears in the bottom photo

sick fish should be swapped to a hospital tank to help against spreading the sickness. yes it is in the water, but if the fish that is sick is taken out and treated alone or with other sick fish then the healthy fish will not have to worry or look at the sick fish. etc etc

just my point of view, i imagine everyone else's is different :p

can't really tell with the pictures.
think it might be cotton mouth, ich? fin rot etc.. could be a mixture of crap :( keep treating

OH and how long has the tank been set up?

Unfortunately it looks like columnaris to me.  :(   I have had two outbreaks in sororities that I kept and neither one had a good outlook.  The first time it killed so quickly that I lost all my fish.  The second time it was just the one female thankfully but neither case even with meds I was not able to save any of the fish.  I would quarantine any of the fish showing symptoms if I were you as it is contagious once it gets a hold on one fish.

I am on the final day of treating with eSHa 2000. So I am hoping to see a change in her. She behaves as she always has and has showed no signs of going downhill. Does everybody have a spare tank cycled and up and running just in case? My other tank holds my male betta so that is a no go and would risk cross infection, plus he would start nesting so not fair. My breeding tank is full of rainwater in the garden so thats a no go. I dont have a hospital tank does that make me a bad fish keeper?

I do not have a cycled hospital tank up and running at all times.  I normally use storage containers(rubbermaid/steralite) of at least a gallon as quarantine/hospital tanks.  They are inexpensive and are quick to set up.  Throw in a heater and a sponge filter and you are set.

I have 2 spare filters but no spare heater, im still not entirely convinced its flexibacter columnaris. Could it be some manifestation of an internal parasite? She came from the same supplier as the female crowntail who died and was introduced at the same time. This is howse looked 2 months ago and here is the crowntail who I think died from a parasite
