I've recently just noticed a bunch of depressions in my Molly around the "neck" and head areas. Also he seems to have a tattered anal fin. Do you think he's getting bullied? If so I'm not sure what to do. These depressions dont look so great.... And it looks like he's having a tough time breathing too.

Thanks if you can help.

I think you should move him out of the tank just in case he is being bullied. And you can up the amount of salt in its water to help him heal faster and to keep infection from coming in. If he was attacked he should heal pretty good. I had experience with a guppy having most of her tail torn off and now she is doing so well she just gave birth yesterday. Hope he gets better.

Ok will do! Good thing my qt is empty right now. Just moved last fish out of there yesterday and fed with some fish food today so bacs didn't die. I hope he doesn't die. He's the one I've had longest. About 7 months. Also the only one that survived my last (knock on wood) ich epidemic.

MOF, if you can get a decent picture of it, please post in the Tropical Emergencies section. I doubt that anything like depressions in a fish's "neck" area are normal.

I can try but they're very small.

:rip: speckles. I just buried him as he was my oldest fish. Had him since November

:rip: Speckles- unknown (probably about march 2011)- may 23rd 2012

:rip: he was my favorite :(

I've concluded he had hole in the head :( :rip:

HITH is a water quality ailment of cichlids, not livebearers. It may have looked at bit like HITH but I doubt it was the same thing.

It was the exact same symptoms, I guess it could've been something else, but I'm at a loss.
