Carmel seems very depressed after I moved Penny. He tore down his bubbly nest and lays at the bottom of the tank all sad. The only time he comes up is when I feed him and when I put something next to him he gets all exited hoping its Penny

Thats why he's depressed he's missing her, can you put her in a tank next to him again.

Try putting her in a tank next to him. If you see her stressing more, just put a piece of paper in or something so that she cannot see him.

There are many things you can do to liven a Betta up, maybe you should try one of the following to keep them entertained.

The changing of the environment within and outside of the tank can keep your Betta entertained.

Different foods make a Betta more lively and can also improve their health.

Maybe you could try teaching them tricks like swimming through hoops.

If you would like further information check out http://www.fightingfish.info/basics002.php for more information for your bored Betta! :good:

lol ok. Well I have but them in the tank next to each other and she seems way less stressed. She is even getting breeding stripes on here!

My Mr Bojangles gets all mardy when I move the little cutie blue girl so he cant see her. Trouble is my old telescopic goldfish loves watching her as well...so they share her a day each.... :hyper:

Glad there all happy again.

My female gets so stressed so easy so I put them together and she calms down fast. They like each other!

Oh no not like that! Its just the two fish bowls are really close and she seems to be happier like that.
