Hi All,

I am stocking a new tank and have heard people chating about mixing 15 Demansoni and about 6-8 labs in a 55 gallon tank.
Has anyone done this for an extended period with mature fish, if so how has it worked out?

I have been mixing labs with peacocks and am learning the tricks, but with the aggression of the Demansoni - I want to know if it is worth the aggravation.

Any replies would be appreciated

PS - sorry = I believe i posted in the wrong area earlier.

I've never kept that combination, but demasoni are usually only aggressive with their own kind or others with similar coloration. That's why they're considered a great combo with yellow labs. Their colors contrast nicely, and since labs look nothing like demasoni, they usually aren't messed with. And despite their reputation, demasoni tend to be fragile, and are usually recommended in a species only tank or with relatively placid mbuna, ie. labs. Ferris would be an excellent source of information on them.
