i accidentally left my bloodworms and mysis shrimp out for a littlt too long but im not sure.

how can i tell if they have been defrosted because i poped em back in the freezer

you mean...your not sure if you left them out too long and they might have started defrosting before you put them back...??

if so... i'm not sure if theres a way you can tell....maybe they look different?? but i've definately heard that once they've been defrosted you shouldn't then refreeze them...

I cut up all the blocks into smaller pieces as soon as I get it, enough for one feed, and keep them in a plastic container in the freezer. Then you can just get one out when you need it and not take out the whole thing.

Any food left at room temp. for too long will encourage bacterial growth to take place. Freezing stops all bacterial growth. Refridgeration slows it down but doesnt prevent it.
