As some of you may have read or heard, over 2 tanks of my beautifully raised guppies came to a end when a virus or the Flexibacter comunaris "guppy diease" (i still don't know which one) hit my tanks. The last couple of weeks has been full of tears as every day i wake to 2-3 guppies dead. Unfortunately yesterday was the worst. The grampa of all the guppies, 2 yrs old(oldest guppy I know), fotm nominated, my beauitful russian blue half black male Mercury, followed the rest of his kids to heaven....this one hit hard. Hopefully this comes to a end b/c it's leaving me very depressed and ready to giveup in keeping these beautiful fish.
There's still over 50 guppies still alive, but I'm preparing my self for that number to decrease. Here's pictures of some of the fry and parents that created them, that died in this horrible event.
Babymaker(gave birth to over 130 fry) and half black female(gave birth to over 50 fry)
Paintbrush
Gemini, my only lyretail guppy. He was almost as old as Mercury
Snakeskin male
Eve my 3inch female(over 200 fry born!)
Over 20 teenager fry
Finally the old grampa...
Here are some memories of the old guy(merucry) on the forums: 1st time nominated for FOTM , Younger days, When he recovered from Finrot
Please keep my surviving fish in your thoughts and prayers and hope this comes to a end. Thanks
