Decorations Hissing And Giving Off Bubbles?

Okay I'm confused. So one of my bristlenose catfish died recently in one of the cave decorations, so I removed the decoration and soaked it for a while in really hot water to make sure it was clean. Well I kinda forgot about it so its been out of the tank for a few days. i just put it in and it left of streams of tiny bubbles.

So anyway I figured I'd leave it out till I found out what was wrong with it and instead started putting in the terracotta pot fragments I had, they did the exact same thing, hissing and bubbling when they came in contact with water. So far the single fish in there seems okay but I'm really worried somethings in the wtaer that shouldnt be there. The only additive that should be there is some bacterial medication which is just a precaution in case Kelvin my shark got ill, there shouldnt be much if any of that though as I added it like 5 days ago, and it only lasts a few days.

So any ideas why the stuff is hissing? The odd thing is, i added another new ornament today, straight out of the garden that I'd just scrubbed down and it didnt do a thing, plus theres another terracotta pot in there already. Anyone?

You're certain it's not just air trapped inside of the ornaments and taracotta? Soak these in another bowl of water for an hour, and see if they are still fizzing. It sounds like it's just trapped air to me

Well I just tried that and the fizzing stopped quite quickly. So its just air in the ornaments? i ahvnt just poisoned by shark?

Sorry juts really scared me when I saw all the deccys fizzing up, thought something had gotten into our water.

So the airs trapped in like I guess the pores of the ornaments? the bubbles are really tiny thin streamers that just develop on the surface of the caves, so from being out of the tank so long the material just absorbed air rather then water?

Okies well I'll finsih redeciorating the tank, Kelvin quite likes the bubbles LOL

Well the tanks set up now and all the bubblings stopped LOL, Kelvin loves all his new decorations and is finally moving around
