I'm looking for a tree bark that's about 10 inches long and maybe 2-3 inches tall cut in half (so it make a tunnel)

I want something where my fish can hide from daylight that looks natural, i don't want to put a pvc tube or something like that.

I could probably find the bark around my place but i can't just put that in the aquarium...

is there any treatment i can give it that will make it aquarium safe?

Why not pvc? I used pvc pipe, aquarium sealant, and sand to make mine look more natrual and less like plumbing. Just smear the sealant on the pvc, and roll around in sand (or gravel if you'd like). Do this two or three times and you get a wonderful looking cave.

My plan was too grow plants off the "cave" but I guess I could roll it in gravel and it wouldn't look so bad...

I'm hoping I can find a replica of a tree bark or actually, any piece of wood crefted to be a cave of some sort... I don't like rocks
